...Timéa is a wealth of knowledge, compassion and conviction.  Before our birth she helped me come to terms with my situation, gave me a large amount of information, which was fantastic.  She even looked up information for me regarding gestational diabetes and low blood sugar in newborns.  We worked together to be prepared for that circumstance, Timéa helped me find information on pumping colostrum before birth, which I did and it was needed.  Things turned out better because of the information she helped me find.  My birth was fast and the nurse did not like that.  She was not nice, rude in fact, and she was not happy with just letting me birth my child.  Timéa was wonderful in this circumstance.  She really stayed very focused on me and helped me to focus only on her and what I was feeling.  She encouraged me to do what felt right, even while the nurse was yelling at me to not push and put my leg down.  If the nurse thought that was pushing she was wrong!  Timéa was also valuable after the baby arrived in helping me to get as much breast milk into Elianna as possible by encouraging me to do breast compressions.  What a support she was.

...The class was very personal. We appreciated the ability to do the class in the comfort of our own home. We particular liked the hands on approach (with baby doll) and the involvement/incorporation of both mom and dad. We feel as though our time spent with Timéa before birth during the class and the 3 sessions with baby exceeded our expectations. You were very attentive and sensitive to our needs. Appreciated the encouragement provided to the father and supporting his involvement. Our sessions were very relaxing and comfortable, we felt our confidence increasing as each day went by. It was a pleasure working with Timéa and the security of having her availability by phone. I hope to keep in touch as our baby grows and the breastfeeding needs change.

…Timéa was supportive, attentive, resourceful and patient with me as a client who was induced for nine hours before the induction was stopped. She had a wealth of knowledge about calming techniques to calm me while I was being prepared for a Cesarean Section. I will recommend Timéa to anyone who needs a doula because I feel that she has a lot of knowledge about birth personally and professionally and is very knowledgeable about breastfeeding and alternative therapies…
